The Honors Living-Learning Community (HLLC) at Rutgers University–Newark is a residential honors program for incoming First-Year and Transfer students who are passionate about social change, leadership, and academic growth.

If you’re applying to Rutgers-Newark for Fall admission, you’re invited to complete the HLLC Supplemental Application to be considered for this one-of-a-kind experience.

To apply to the HLLC, you must:

• Submit your Rutgers–Newark application through the Rutgers Admissions website.
• Complete the HLLC Supplemental Application on this page.
• Participate in a Large Group Interview.
• Attend a Personal Interview (invitation only).

Important Deadlines

First-Year Students:

• You must apply to Rutgers University – Newark by December 1st for consideration into the HLLC.
• You must submit your HLLC Supplemental Application by January 2nd.
